I ...I agree that it has been a weird season so far. I have had American Goldfinches in the yard - finally! - this week, but as far as I know they haven't visited the feeders. I've only seen one Chipping Sparrow, although I have heard others <i>"chipping"</i> among the shrubbery. I usually don't see Waxwings until around Christmas, so I'll be looking out for them over the next couple of weeks. But even numbers of Northern Cardinals so far have been lower than normal.
